Case Management
Sunglow Literacy Consulting is available to do special education  case management on a part time basis to help schools and learning centers with their caseloads. Certified special educators are ready and willing to support your school's needs by providing case management in completing paperwork to meet federal and state laws, planning, and meeting with parents as well as professionals for individual education plans and evaluations. 
 
If your special educators are needing support in getting special education evaluations or case  management completed due to new referrals and students becoming special education eligible then give us a call or email us about your school's needs. We want to help. 
 
Consultations/ Assessment
Sunglow provides professional consultations for parents, home school parents, schools, and learning centers.
 
Assessment:Sunglow also provides support in assessing children and progress monitoring in school and home school settings as well as learning centers. We are happy to travel to your location and provide support in the daily activities, schedules, and work needed in working with children with specific learning difficulties. Our primary focus is on helping children with their literacy needs and support teachers as well as other professionals in schools and learning centers. We also support home school parents in their endeavors to enrich their children's lives with an alternative approach to their educational needs.
 
Paperwork:
Sped Doc
IEP forms/written IEPS based on individual goals and objectives
Meeting minute notes
Notations on phone conversations, meetings with parents, staff input
Evaluation forms and evaluations for individual students
Progress monitioring and assessment of children
 
Work during literacy blocks
Support for teachers with pull out and in class literacy groups
Providing resources for teachers for lesson plans and differentiated learning/lessons
Supporting teachers by coteaching and modeling lessons
 
Supervision of Tutors/Training in Orton Gillingham
Review lesson plans and provide feedback based on child's strengths and weaknesses
Complete annual reviews of tutors
Provide supplemental resources and materials for tutors to use in lessons
Model lessons using Orton Gillingham, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Framing Your Thoughts
Provide additional workshops and professional development support that support best practices in literacy
Support tutors in working on fluency, comprehension, and grammar with children
